ASICS: GlideRide 2, Novablast 2. New Balance: Fresh Foam More v3. Hoka: Bondi 7. Altra: Paradigm 6. Brooks: Glycerin 19. Saucony: Triumph 19. If you can, I’d try out as many of these as you can. Generally speaking, a thicker midsole tends to make a shoe less stable, so there’s a trade off. The soft ride of this foam has my legs feeling pampered on easy days and long runs. It really is a marvel to have my legs nearly fresh after a 16-mile run, but that’s what this shoe provided. Ten out of ten I’d recommend the HOKA Clifton 8 for easy runs and long runs. Oh, and they’re vegan by the way. The cushion just isn't there. I pulled them out over the last few months and even on the first mile, my feet are screaming at me to get more cushion. I finally want to purchase my first Hoka One One pair. I've read a million reviews, tried multiple styles on in the store, but there are many options and I can't make the executive decision. Best. WhatEvery1sThinking • 2 yr. ago. Clifton 6 - 500km before using them as work shoes. Rincon 2 - 700km, however they probably died at around the 500km mark. My last~15 runs in them the shoes basically had turned into bricks and I was putting myself at risk of injury. So I'd say 500km for a pair of non-trail, non-racing Hoka's. Hating on the Hoka Carbon X2. Background: I've been running 20+yrs with multiple marathons (currently qual-ed for Boston 2021, fingers x-ed). I'm a Midfoot-to-heel striking stride runner who gets along well with most shoes, including Hoka Bondi, Rincon, and Mach 4. I bought the CX2 with the intention of using it for protective but peppy long My 1st hoka was Clifton6. I reached 1200km in that, doing 5k to 26k runs. The C6 has been retired and its successor is my Rincon3. Its like a light version of C6 , already 500km n still going strong 👌. /i have other road running shoes that overlaps as i like to run in diff shoes every outing (ie Rebel3, Nova1) 👌. Final Thoughts. Get back to trail racing with the feather-light HOKA ONE ONE Zinal. HOKA designers took the best of their trail and road shoes and married them to create the perfect blend of propulsion and durability in the Zinal. ProFly midsole foam provides just right cushioning and responsive bounce to each step. Hi all, I wanted to share my thoughts on Hoka Carbon x3 (women) and discuss feedback from other users. I bought the shoes in March 2023 in my local sport shop at a discounted price of 115chf (approx same in EUR). My current shoes rotation is the following: Hoka Carbon x3 (7.5UK)- 5k to 10k tempo run Saucony Triumph 19 (7UK) - daily trainer Initial impressions - to be honest, one of disappointment. Despite all the rave reviews on YouTube and so forth, they don't feel anything special to me. They're neither super-cushioned nor super-responsive. Just very very average. I'm not getting much pop or bounce. They feel soft under foot - a bit like running in sand, but in a bad way. Before the Bondi's I was using the Asics GT series which were trash. I thought both Hokas were much better in terms of comfort than the Asics, but I need to be careful which socks I wear because they are a little narrower. I do not use the Arahi for trail, nowhere near enough grip, I use a Brooks for that. 1. On a scale of 1-10, I give the Hoka Solimar a solid 8.5. It might sound low given the glowing review I gave, but I wish I could run longer distances in these. Sadly, due to the thinner sole, I J-Frames are to Hokas as GuideRails are to Brooks, so you can expect to feel additional medial support and firmer foam, which are ideal for overpronators. Hoka vs. On Running Shoes: Price. When Hoka Rincon 2 is a max-cushioned daily trainer that is ready for all kinds of runs: easy, fast, and long. But it is also a surprising shoe. It looks bulky, like most Hokas, but its weight is really where it shines. At about 7.7oz for a men size 9, it comes close to the elite race shoes like Nike Vaporflys, at less than half the price. Hoka Speedgoat 5 review. I've been using my SG5 on mixed surfaces and trails now and can confidently make comments and a review regarding about the shoes. I bought a couple of sizes to start - 1 normal size, 1 a half size bigger. I stuck with my normal size. I have Wide-Medium volume feet. raBNkm.
